Inspired by the colours, textures, and layers of my father’s beautiful New Zealand garden, this piece is a deeply personal reflection of where my journey into botanical photographic art began.

All flowers are handpicked and carefully crafted into floral sculptures, placed directly onto a high-resolution photographic scanner and digitally captured upside down. There’s no lens between me and the flowers - just a pure interaction with nature. The process is as hands-on as it gets, layering textures and shapes in real time, allowing the seasonal blooms to inspire each composition. I then meticulously edit, retouching, colour-grading, and enhancing the finest details while preserving the raw beauty of the original floral arrangement.
